Inframark Begins Operation of Richmond, Texas, Surface Water Treatment Plant

Deal with the City adds to the company’s significant presence in the state.

Katy, Texas, April 12, 2018 ─ Inframark, LLC, is pleased to announce that it has started operation of the 2.0 million gallons-per-day surface water treatment plant for the City of Richmond, Texas. Richmond, like many cities in Texas, is moving away from groundwater to surface water sources. In addition to the operation and maintenance of the facility, Inframark also assisted in the startup and commissioning of the plant.

“We have been very pleased with the part Inframark has played in opening our new surface water treatment plant,” said Richmond Public Works Director Howard Christian. “From day one, they have performed just as I had hoped, partnering and providing the technical expertise to get the plant from startup to continued operations. They have worked closely with our staff to help train and develop a robust operating plan with detailed operating procedures. All of this has been done in such a professional manner with our staff that we feel they have helped position us to be very successful for years to come.”

The addition of Richmond builds on Inframark’s significant presence in the state, particularly in the Houston metropolitan area. Inframark now operates 201 projects in Texas, with 602 employees managing 211 water and wastewater facilities.

“We have a proud tradition of service to the residents of Texas and we are honored that this now includes Richmond,” said Inframark Vice President Todd Burrer. “We look forward to partnering with the City to provide its citizens with the high level of service and customer satisfaction it should expect from its water operator.”
