Chatham, Va., Selects Inframark to Operate Its Water Treatment Plant

Company started operating the Town’s wastewater treatment plant in 2017.

Horsham, Penn., June 5, 2018 ─ Inframark, LLC, is pleased to announce that the Town Council of Chatham, Va., has selected the company to manage, operate, and maintain its water treatment plant. Inframark has been operating the Town’s wastewater plant since 2017. This contract expansion, which is effective July 1, 2018, extends the terms of the initial two-year wastewater contract to five years.

“We measure management in many ways: increases in revenue, reductions to costs, improvements in efficiency, and achieving safe practices,” said Chatham’s Treasurer and Clerk of Council Tim Hammell. “In the short time that we’ve been partners, Inframark has addressed each of these areas, improving efficiency and making an all-around safer operation for our employees. We look forward to the future with Inframark and anticipate additional improvements, savings, and benefits to the citizens of the Town of Chatham.”

The Chatham water treatment plant, which serves a population of 1,300, has a total treatment capacity of 1.32 million gallons per day and includes a booster station and two elevated storage tanks. This deal expands Inframark’s water/wastewater footprint in Virginia, which includes wastewater treatment operations in Danville.

“We are thrilled that Chatham has selected us to operate its water treatment process,” said Inframark President and CEO Stephane Bouvier. “The Town recognizes the value we have provided to its wastewater operation, so expanding this partnership made perfect sense.”
